'Exuma' Movie Review!

Story:

The story of the film revolves around the life of a young Korean named Park Ji-yong. He lives in America with his family. His son has been crying since his birth. The doctors cannot find the cause of this problem. With this, a powerful man named Lee Ha-rim (Kim Jo-en) calls in a Korean monk (Lee Deo-han) to solve the situation. The Park family agrees and the two men go to examine their son. Meanwhile, after the death of Park's grandfather, it is said that his ghost is angry with the family and is doing this because he is doing this. It is said that the place where Park's grandfather was buried is not good, and that exhuming it and burying it in another place will calm the ghost. 'Kim' (Choi Min-sik), who has experience in this matter, comes forward to help them along with his companion 'Ko'.

The four of them dig up the grave of Park's grandfather on a hill in the forest. However, due to the rain, they are unable to move the coffin to another place. When a man tries to open the coffin, thinking that there may be treasure in it, the ghost inside comes out. It moves forward towards taking revenge on some people. In this context, another coffin emerges from the same grave. Who owns that coffin? What are the consequences of unearthing it? This is the story.

Ghost stories are often very routine. The ghost is released by someone. The ghost, already burning with revenge, starts taking revenge on them. If you think so, this movie also shows it as a story like that. But, it gives a new twist to the story. With another coffin emerging from the grave, the movie becomes even more interesting. The war that happened in the past, the beliefs of the Korean people, all these elements are mixed in this story.

Usually, the story of a movie in the horror genre is very simple. But, in this movie, it can be said that the writers have worked hard and interpreted the story with a battle between two coffins. The photography is pleasing in depicting the deep emotion and dark scenes in the structure of the story. Also, the background score also keeps the audience in suspense according to the story.

This makes the horror movie interesting for the audience who can enjoy it while being scared. However, some scenes along with the bloodshed may be repulsive to some viewers and some scenes may not be watchable by everyone.
